So the boy moved up here two weeks ago on June 3rd and life has been kind of non-stop ever since. He didn't have to start work for a while so we were meeting for lunch most days and attempting to go to SIFF (Seattle International Film Festival) films most nights. We also had a few social engagements here and there that kept me from keeping anything even coming close to resembling a normal sleeping schedule. There have been a few kinks here and there, but for the most part everything is taking shape and falling into place. It has been great to have him here, there is no doubt about that, and i'll work on the monopolizing of the bathroom for now.
In other news, Jessica is here from London for her sister's high school graduation. We went over to dinner at her Dad's house on Thursday and hung out all day Saturday (shopping, solstice parade, brewer's festival, cotton candy art and dinner). Sunday, she came over and we made breakfast until we headed over to her Dad's to help prepare for the party and then hang out at the party for a while. There were quite a few drunk adults there, one couple in particular. As the drunk husband tried to drag his drunker wife to the car to drive her home she fell over the coffee table and knocked over some nuts and a camera. A few men helped pick her up and her husband still tried to drive her home. Luckily a sober individual offered to drive them home and the danger was averted. It was, however, a sad and ridiculous site to see people in their 50's acting like retarded 19 year old's. Why is it such a difficult concept?
Jessica spent the night at the apartment last night and we had some much needed girl chat, it is so much easier when all on one couch rather than in different countries. I miss her being around.
